“Hello. I am Deborah McGlauflin, and I bring to my work as a celebrant a deep personal commitment to helping others celebrate life and find meaning in death. Supporting others at the end of life is my calling. I am an experienced hospice vigil volunteer at Hospice of the Chesapeake and Certified End-of-Life Specialist. As such, I’ve had extensive training in caring for/companioning the dying and spiritual care for the dying.
I have decades of professional experience designing and facilitating meetings, services and training programs — both in-person and online. I love public speaking and writing and have done a lot of both. I have a poetry blog and have published several books & ebooks, including one — Good in the End — which benefits hospice through my donation of all royalties to Hospice of the Chesapeake and through a CrowdRise campaign to gift copies of the book to hospice patients.
